Cooperation between LW Bogdanka and UMCS – Grant Fund for Researchers

Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A. and the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin – Center for Climate Change and Environment Research (CeReClimEn UMCS) signed on 29 April 2026 a cooperation agreement to implement joint activities in the field of environmental protection, the development of scientific research and the strengthening of relations between science and business. The initiative is under the patronage of the Minister of Climate and Environment.

Bogdanka, PGE Dystrybucja and the municipality of Łęczna commence cooperation on a new economic zone

Lubelski Węgiel "Bogdanka" S.A., PGE Dystrybucja S.A. Oddział Lublin and the Municipality of Łęczna have signed a letter of intent on cooperation in creation of a new economic zone in the Podzamcze and Stara Wieś villages in the municipality of Łęczna. The planned zone will cover the total area of approximately 180 hectares and shall become a space for the development of modern industry, investment and new jobs.
