LW Bogdanka intends to export its know-how to India and countries of the global South

Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A. continues to expand its presence in foreign markets, particularly in India and countries of the global South. During the 6th Polish Mining Congress, the company signed the agreement on establishment of the “IndusComp” Polish Industrial Competence Cluster and, in parallel, launched its cooperation with the British company, Mining Competence & Advisory Ltd under the previously concluded Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

6th Polish Mining Congress - Lublin-Bogdanka 2025

6th Polish Mining Congress, the most important forum for the debate on the future of mining, geology and raw material policy in Poland will take place in Lublin and Bogdanka on 24-26 September 2025. The slogan of this year's edition is: “MiningPL2050 - raw materials, energy, transformation”.

LW Bogdanka after the first half of the year: higher sales volumes and improved profitability

In H1 2025, Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A., one of the market leaders among hard coal producers in Poland, generated PLN 1.52 billion of consolidated sales revenue. The level of revenue generated was affected by lower coal prices, partly offset by higher sales volumes.

Bogdanka supports MKS Lublin S.A.

Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka has established cooperation with MKS Lublin S.A., a legend of women's handball in Poland and one of the region's most recognisable sports brands. The sponsorship agreement includes the support for the PGE MKS El-Volt Lublin senior women's team, which participates in the Orlen Superliga Women's competition and European cups, as well as the youth teams run by the club.

Bogdanka increases sales, improves profitability and records over six-fold increase in net profit

Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka, one of the leaders of the domestic hard coal producer market, ended the first quarter of 2025 with a marked improvement of financial and operational results. This has been achieved despite difficult market conditions and the continuing decline in raw material prices. Consolidated sales revenue totalled PLN 868.9 million (6.5% year-on-year increase), EBITDA increased by 143.1% to PLN 395 million, and net profit reached PLN 283.9 million (563.7% increase).
