ESG reports

For almost a decade now, Bogdanka has prepared and published non-financial (ESG) reports, drawn up in accordance with the recognized international standards.

LW Bogdanka S.A. draws up its integrated reports based on the core option of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines, and the dedicated mining industry supplements. The reports combine financial results with extended non-financial information, mapping out the value creation model.

The LW Bogdanka Group’s Integrated Reports are a plentiful source of up-to-date information about the Company and the Group. In this document, the Company presents the most important actions taken by the Group in the preceding year, the primary principles it is guided by when pursuing its business objectives, as well as its results, both financial and in the context of sustainable development. These results are presented with reference to the assumptions of the “Social Responsibility Strategy” or equivalent documents.

Every integrated report is prepared based on the international GRI reporting standard (core option), using the International Integrated Reporting (IR) Framework. As from 2019, the reports also include indicators describing achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In their scope, they cover the entire group, as it is consolidated in the financial report. In other words, the report covers LW Bogdanka Group, i.e. the parent company LW Bogdanka S.A., with its subsidiary Łęczyńska Energetyka Sp. z o.o., and three smaller companies (RG Bogdanka Sp. z o.o., EkoTrans Sp. z o.o. and MR Bogdanka Sp. z o.o.). However, given that the three smallest companies have only a little impact on the overall result of the capital group, both in financial as well as social and environmental terms, in this document these entities have been described only in selected aspects. It is in line with the general logic of the GRI Guidelines, which recommend reporting of material aspects only.
