During this year's edition of the School of Underground Mining in Kraków, Lubelski Węgiel ‘Bogdanka’ S.A. and Elektrorecykling S.A. signed a letter of intent on cooperation in projects related to the circular economy and raw material recovery.
Lubelski Węgiel "Bogdanka" S.A., PGE Dystrybucja S.A. Oddział Lublin and the Municipality of Łęczna have signed a letter of intent on cooperation in creation of a new economic zone in the Podzamcze and Stara Wieś villages in the municipality of Łęczna. The planned zone will cover the total area of approximately 180 hectares and shall become a space for the development of modern industry, investment and new jobs.

Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A., one of the leading hard coal producers in Poland, adopted a Development Strategy up to 2030, with an outlook until 2035. The strategy is a response to the accelerating energy transition and increasing regulatory requirements in the industry.

Last Friday, 29 November 2024, a letter of intent was signed at LW Bogdanka’s head office between Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka and RG Bogdanka, and the Mining School Complex in Łęczna and the School Complex in Ostrów Lubelski.
On 14-17 May 2024, Bogdanka was audited for recertification against the requirements of ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety). The audit was conducted by the certification body TÜV Nord Polska.
Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka is celebrating a historic moment today, having mined the 200-millionth ton of coal since its establishment. The mine, which has been in operation in the Lublin region since 1982, attained this impressive achievement, thereby confirming that it belongs to the category of the largest and most efficient mines in the entire history of hard coal mining in Poland.
The Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka Group has just published its ESG Report for 2022. The document is the tenth report prepared on the basis of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines, taking into account also elements typical of integrated reporting, linking financial performance with results in the environmental, social and governance areas.
LW Bogdanka confirms that the current hydrological situation in longwall 3/VII/385 is under the control of the mine's services, and the water inflow is not increasing.
