The Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka Group has just published its ESG Report for 2022. The document is the tenth report prepared on the basis of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines, taking into account also elements typical of integrated reporting, linking financial performance with results in the environmental, social and governance areas.
A surveillance audit for compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) for mining, production and sale of commercial coal took place in Bogdanka on 30-31 May 2023.
Increasing the share of energy generated from renewable sources in the local energy mix, supporting the local development of businesses with high electricity demand in the process of optimizing the costs and reducing their carbon footprint are among the main goals of the activities of the Łęczyński Energy Cluster, established on Friday, 17 February 2023. The agreement on the matter was signed at the headquarters of the leader, Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A.
20 January was the last day of the World Economic Forum in Davos. It was attended by President of Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka's Management Board Kasjan Wyligała, who took part in meetings and discussions on the challenges facing Bogdanka in the near future.
