The Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka Group has just published its ESG Report for 2022. The document is the tenth report prepared on the basis of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines, taking into account also elements typical of integrated reporting, linking financial performance with results in the environmental, social and governance areas.

Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka has become the title sponsor of the men's volleyball team previously known as LUK Lublin. As of the new volleyball PlusLiga season, the team will be known as BOGDANKA LUK Lublin.

Last year at Bogdanka closed with record investments in improving occupational safety. OHS spending reached nearly USD 195 million. In addition to investing in equipment, training and personal protective equipment, Bogdanka conducted numerous educational and information activities. Work on improving occupational health and safety conditions at the mine will continue this year.

Purchases will be made through sign-ups, which should be made at the coarse coal sales outlet in Bogdanka.

The main assembly work on the construction of a new photovoltaic farm in Bogdanka, Lubelskie Voivodeship, has been completed. The 5.66-hectare plot has already 5,552 high-efficiency, double-sided photovoltaic panels assembled. The new farm will have a capacity of 3 MWp.

A surveillance audit for compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) for mining, production and sale of commercial coal took place in Bogdanka on 30-31 May 2023.

LW Bogdanka S.A. has published its Q1 2023 financial results. The LW Bogdanka Group’s revenue climbed 28.5% in this period to PLN 940.7 million from PLN 731.8 million last year. EBITDA was PLN 291.6 million (up by 5.5%), operating profit was PLN 155.8 million and net profit was PLN 126.2 million.

The Company aims to create an innovative multi-commodity concern to drive green transition and secure the economic development of the Lublin region.

On Wednesday, 5 April 2023, Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A. and the GKS Górnik Łęczna Association signed a letter of intent regarding cooperation to strengthen the potential of the Górnik Łęczna Sports Club, one of whose main goals will be to achieve further sporting success.
