The Minister of Climate and Environment Anna Moskwa spoke about maintaining the role of Polish coal as a fuel for the available power stabilizing the Polish Power System at Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A.
The State Treasury will buy out the shares of Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka. The mine acquisition process should be completed this summer. Mine authorities say the decision will, first and foremost, ensure energy security for a significant area of Poland. In addition, the changes will give a dynamic boost to the Company's ambitious new strategic goals.
The presentation of awards in the rECOnstructor environmental competition took place at the headquarters of LW Bogdanka S.A. on 9 March. The main goal of the project was to educate children and young people to take action based on the idea of zero waste and to introduce habits that protect the natural environment.
Last week, Lubelski Węgiel “Bogdanka” S.A. successfully launched hard coal extraction on a new, highly efficient coal-cutting longwall in the Stefanów Field. It means that at present the coal mine operates three walls, in keeping with the earlier planned work timetable.

Regarding media speculations, the Company reports that in early February it began work on longwall 3/VII/385, which was squeezed last September and where efforts were underway to resume mining.
