Situation in longwall 3/VII/385 - UPDATE

LW Bogdanka confirms that the current hydrological situation in longwall 3/VII/385 is under the control of the mine's services, and the water inflow is not increasing.

The Company says it is currently conducting advanced hydrogeological analyses related to longwall 3/VII/385. The Company is preparing to commission an expert report on potential options for action and risks associated with further mining and technical work in the area. In the past week, the Company held its first technical discussions in this regard.

According to the mine's services, longwall 3/VII/385 is still prospective and suitable for future mining. The aforementioned expert report is expected to provide answers to the questions of whether it will be possible to continue mining in the existing work area, or whether it will be necessary to shift mining to another location in a plot that has the already opened up.

As the Company has reported in previous press releases, a water leakage occurred during the trial commissioning of the aforementioned longwall in February this year. In accordance with the applicable procedure, in the sloping heading the Company has planned and constructed the so-called receiving pit, i.e. a depression into which water flowed by force of gravity and was then drained using pumps. Now that the situation has stabilized, the water is collected right by the longwall, which has a positive impact on safety and the ability to carry out further monitoring and inspection work.
