LW Bogdanka changes approach to sponsorship activities

The difficult market environment, the pressures under which the mining industry operates, the need to optimize costs and focus on the Company's core business resulted in the need to revise the existing marketing expenditures at LW Bogdanka. Following an in-depth analysis, the Management Board has decided to withdraw from some sponsorship projects.

For many years of its activity, Bogdanka has made itself known as a recognized and valued patron of culture and sports in the region, supporting many socio-cultural initiatives in the Lubelskie Voivodeship. In view of the rapidly changing business environment, the Company is optimizing its costs by, among other things, reducing the number of marketing projects.

We understand that our decision affects local communities and organizations that have benefited from our support. Our action is aimed at better aligning the sponsorship activities with the Company's long-term business objective, in line with financial and operational priorities. We feel that most of the projects have met our goals, which have been set jointly with the Partners.

-said Marcin Kujawiak, head of the Communication and Promotion Department at Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A.

The Management Board of LW Bogdanka also declares that in the future it will be possible to carry out individual sponsorship projects that respond to the needs of the local community.

Bogdanka is associated with the Górnik Łęczna football club and has worked with it since its inception. The company does not plan to abandon its support of the club, and the terms of future cooperation will be mutually agreed upon by both parties.

The company believes that the most important goal for it is to ensure the continuity of the company's operations, protect jobs, contribute to local budgets and influence the economy of the entire region.
