Bogdanka becomes the Main Sponsor of LUK Lublin volleyball players
Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka has become the Main Sponsor of the LUK Lublin team, which plays daily in PlusLiga, the highest class of men's volleyball competition in Poland. The agreement, signed on 17 February at the company's headquarters, will last until the end of the 2022/2023 season.
Bogdanka, in accordance with its strategy, has been supporting both youth, amateur and professional sports for years. We know that there are many volleyball fans among the miners. Currently, volleyball is the second most popular sport in Poland, and games in Lublin attract the second largest audience. The LUK Lublin club already has great potential, and with the support of the mine it will be able to continue to develop and achieve further sports successes. We appreciate the fact that despite the club's short history, the Lublin volleyball players are already successfully competing against the national elite. Cooperation with LUK Lublin is also an affirmation of our support for the entire region from which we come,

Bogdanka's volleyball projects are joined today by a top-class club. So far, we have successfully supported volleyball players from Avia Świdnik, a top TAURON 1st league club, and ChKS Arka Chełm, one of the best teams in the 2nd league. Last year, the mine carried out a total of 85 sponsorship projects, 32 of which were related to sports. Our support extended to 1,460 athletes from our region. We hope that together with the fans and the mine crew we will soon enjoy more successes of the LUK Lublin club,

Since October of 2015 Bogdanka has been a member of the Enea Group, the second largest player on Poland’s electrical power market in terms of the generation of electricity, which manages the entire value chain on the electricity market ranging from fuel to the generation of electricity, distribution, sales (supply) and customer service.
