Signing of the letter of intent today marks another milestone in the process of establishing an economic zone within the Municipality of Łęczna. Our aim is to create a space that will become home to modern business ventures generating stable jobs in the future. In the context of the challenges facing the mining sector, this is a key element of a responsible development policy. Bogdanka is now a company of regional importance, therefore this project affects not only the Łęczna district but the entire province, securing the future of local families and businesses,
– said Krzysztof Bojarski, Deputy to the Sejm of the Republic of Poland.
The cooperation also involves close coordination of actions between the partners, the exchange of information, as well as joint efforts to attract investors. The parties undertake to carry out the project in a transparent manner, respecting the interests of all stakeholders and with a view to the socio-economic development of the region.
Signing of the letter of intent is a development boost for our municipality on an unprecedented scale. The development of nearly 180 hectares of land for modern industry and services provides an opportunity to create thousands of new jobs, which will directly contribute to the professional security and prosperity of our residents. As a local authority, we take a long-term view of this project – we are building a strong, diversified economy that will serve as the foundation for the region’s development for the nearest decades.
– said Leszek Włodarski, Mayor of Łęczna.
The signed document is a letter of intent and does not create any financial liabilities – it serves as a basis for further work and negotiations on the ultimate model of cooperation.
