Bogdanka with the 2nd Grand Prize for The Best Annual Report
Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A.'s 2022 Annual Report received the 2nd grand prize in the corporate category at the 18th edition of The Best Annual Report competition for regulated market issuers and the 11th edition for the alternative market. Bogdanka received a distinction last year, and this year it is among the top 3 companies listed on the WSE's main market.
The Best Annual Report is a contest for the best annual report in terms of value for shareholders and investors. The award is given to companies from the regulated market that prepare consolidated annual reports in accordance with IFRS/IAS, as well as to companies from the alternative market that report in accordance with IFRS/IAS or the Accounting Act. The contest is a non-commercial project serving the environment and creating good practices in financial reporting of public companies, which increases the safety of the capital market in Poland.
This is an extremely valuable and important award for us. It also demonstrates our ongoing efforts to improve our reporting practices. For many years, the Company has continuously strived to provide shareholders and investors with full and reliable information about our business. The final gala took place on 12 October 2023 in the Trading Room of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A. is a leading hard coal producer in Poland that stands apart from its peers in terms of its modern and efficient mining. It is one of the largest Polish hard coal mines. Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A. chiefly conducts mining operations in terms of hard coal extraction, enrichment and sales. It supplies this raw material mainly to industrial offtakers. Supply contracts are long-term, and the product is sold to the commercial power sector and the industrial power sector.
The company has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since June of 2009. In August 2022, Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A. returned to listing on the WIG-ESG Index.
Since October of 2015 Bogdanka has been a member of the Enea Group, the second largest player on Poland’s electrical power market in terms of the generation of electricity, which manages the entire value chain on the electricity market ranging from fuel to the generation of electricity, distribution, sales (supply) and customer service.
