LW Bogdanka S.A. celebrated the World Blood Donor Day (14 June) in Nadrybie, where the 2nd Blood Donation Picnic took place. Its co-organisers were the Regional Blood Centre and the Jan and Kazimierz Bogdanowicz Primary School in Nadrybie.

The events of the Picnic included art performances, contests with prizes, sports activities for children and adults, motorcycle shows, historical reenactment activities, and charitable fundraising for children from the most disadvantages families.

The meeting was an opportunity to integrate with the local community, but, above all, it enabled sharing of the extraordinary gift of life – blood. It was donated in a mobile clinic, which attracted a lot of attention, as a result of which 8110 ml were collected. The event had a special dimension as some of the collected blood was given to one of the Company’s employees waiting for a serious surgery.
