LW Bogdanka as Leader of Green Laurel 2014 Competition
The Bogdanka mine was awarded with the Green Laurel Prize for its projects that reduce adverse effects on the environment. The results were officially announced on 6 May 2015 during the jubilee 10th Gala of the Polish Eco Development Chamber of Commerce (PIGE). The team involved in the implementation of the projects was presented with an Honorary Diploma and a statuette for their contribution to the development of environmental protection and implementation of the most efficient projects.
The competition is organised every year by PIGE under the patronage of the President of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, Chief Inspector of Environmental Protection and Chairperson of the Provincial Convent of the Presidents of the National Funds for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
The target group consists of local governments, organisations, companies, as well as individuals implementing ecological projects. The aim of the Competition is to promote Eco Development by rewarding the best investments and business ventures that contribute to improving living conditions and environmental situation.
